Choose your NVQ

Browse our Construction NVQs or select your occupation from the Trade NVQs menu. If you are unsure which qualification you need, call or message us and we will help you choose the correct NVQ.

Complete your workplace assessment

Your assessor will agree an assessment plan with you. Evidence may include workplace observations, photos, short videos, professional discussions and documents from the work you already carry out. There are no classroom lessons or traditional exams.

Achieve your NVQ and apply for your CSCS card

Once you have completed the required evidence and achieved your qualification, you can apply for the appropriate CSCS card, subject to meeting the relevant CSCS requirements.

This reflects the current website and avoids promising an unrealistically quick completion.

  • Do I need to attend college to get my NVQ?

    No. On Site Skills Ltd provides on-site NVQ assessment. An assessor visits you on your live site, so you do not need to attend college.

  • What NVQ levels do you offer?

    We offer NVQ Levels 1 to 6 across construction trades including drylining, tiling, plastering, painting and decorating, floor laying, carpentry, bricklaying, cladding, site supervision and site management

  • How much does an NVQ cost?

  • Can you help me get a CSCS card?

    Yes. After completing your NVQ with On Site Skills Ltd, you can use your qualification to apply for the correct CSCS card for your trade and level.

  • Do I need experience before starting an NVQ?

    Yes. NVQs are for experienced workers. You must already be doing the job on site so your assessor can observe you and collect evidence of your normal work.

  • How long does an NVQ take?

    Most NVQs take around 4 weeks to complete, depending on the trade, the level, how quickly you provide evidence and assessor availability. Some experienced workers may finish faster.
